General Service Questions and Answers:
Overall, there is very little that can go wrong with the Tippmann
Clicker line. Due to the fact that these machines have very few
moving parts, you will find that the Tippmann Clicker 700 and Clicker
1500 will prove virtually trouble free.
If something does appear to malfunction, here is what to look
for.
Q: I may have an air leak, what should
I do? [return
to top]
A: There are 2 places on your Clicker press to check for air
leaks.
Make sure your air is turned on and press
the dual palm buttons, and locate the leak by sound. If there is
a leak, it will be coming from either the control box or the under
side of the press.
1. If the leak is coming from the control box you
will want to follow these steps.
- Remove control box cover
- Check all fittings to make sure that they are airtight.
- If you are able to locate the leak, you will need to
replace the faulty fittings. Ex.
The hose to the barb (male fitting) is not properly seated.
If this is the case, remove hose and cut ˝" back. Re-connect
hose and the clamp.
2. If the leak appears to be coming from the underside
of the press, it is either coming from the bladder or the quick
exhaust. Please contact Tippmann
Industrial Products for further instruction on how to fix
the leak.
Q: I have checked both the control
box and the underside of the machine for leaks, but the leak appears
to be coming from the compressor or the compressor hose. How should
I proceed? [return
to top]
A: If you have determined that you have an air leak coming from
your compressor hose, please refer to your compressor manual or
contact your compressor manufacturer.
Q: I am getting inconsistent die cuts or
the die is not going completely through the material, what should
I do? [return
to top]
A: First check to make sure your cutting die or dies are sharp?
A: If you have checked your cutting dies and they are
sharp you will want to check your cutting board for excessive wear.
If your board is worn, you will need to replace your board. Boards
are available through Tippmann or your local plastics supplier.
A: If your dies are sharp and your cutting board is in
good shape, your may need to adjust your cutting deck. If you need
to adjust the deck, refer to your manual or call Tippmann.
